Keynotes, Arrival and Departure

  • Students can arrive a day before the Retreat start (which will be chargeable)
  • On the 1st Day we will have a Fire Ceremony that will start at 09:00 AM.
  • After the Fire Ceremony we will have orientation
  • Free pickup facility is available from Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun only.
  • The retreat will be completed on the 10th day by 12:00 pm afternoon so Departure must be done after it.
  • Stay can extend according to the need after the course which will be chargeable.
  • If you are traveling for the first time the best way to travel to Rishikesh is to take a flight from Delhi airport to Jolly Grant airport Dehradun as it’s less expensive and time-saving. As soon as you book your flight, forward your flight details and we will arrange a taxi to receive you from Dehradun airport. Otherwise, if you need a pickup from Delhi airport to Rishikesh, we will also arrange that with an additional cost of 75 USD.
  • In your free time, you can explore the beauty of Rishikesh. There are several activities in nature and also good cafes to relax and stores to buy some souvenirs for your family, friend or yourself. Just feel the vibe of the world capital of yoga. Surely you can enjoy your time with a book, and music, visiting the nearby temples or walking on the bank of the Ganga alone or with new friends.

Retreat Summary

Participants in our 10 days yoga retreat will learn a wide variety of classical hatha yoga practices including yoga asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breath control), mudras (psychic gestures), meditation, and deep relaxation techniques. Traditional yogic detox practices will also be introduced including Jala neti (nasal passage cleansing), vaman & dhauti (stomach & oesophagus cleansing), laghooshankhaprakshalana (intestinal cleansing), and trataka (gazing at a candle flame).

Within a traditional atmosphere, atharv yogshala, Yoga Retreat teaches yoga using the age-old methods of the gurukula (traditional Indian teaching method) in an environment free from dogma. Yoga philosophy is an integral part of any yoga retreat at Atharv Yogshala Yoga Retreat.

Fundamental to learning about yoga is an understanding of the ‘why’ behind any yogic practice. It is also crucial to understand that there is so much more to yoga than just the practice of asana (physical postures).

During this retreat, Kuldeep will gently teach you Hatha, Vinyasa, and Pranayama—blending ancient techniques with practical wisdom. He believes yoga isn’t just poses; it’s a tool to live peacefully, even off the mat.
