The ultimate aim of Yoga is to experience the Truth, by realizing the true nature of our ‘Self’ and the Universe. Then one can become free from the chain of cause and effect (Karma) which brings us to earthly life again and again. As per Ayurveda, the food is classified into three categories: Rajasic, Sattvic, and Tamasic. I recently attended the Himalayan hiking retreat and I'm blessed to have

guide and yoga instructor for this experience.

picked me up from the airport and had a conversation to understand my intentions for

In March 2025, I was able to do the yoga and hiking retreat with Kuldeep and Arthav
Yogshala. The experience is hard to put into words, but I'll try anyway. First of
all, I would like to emphasize that both Kuldeep and Lisa do everything possible to
ensure that participants feel comfortable and lack nothing. The ashram, where you
are accommodated in Rishikesh, the world capital of yoga, leaves nothing to be
desired, offers great opportunities to find peace and quiet, and is also beautifully
located.
The highlights were definitely the day hikes in the Himalayas. The
nature,
the views, and the entire atmosphere are indescribably beautiful and an
unforgettable experience for everyone. Kuldeep, who leads the hikes, is also clearly
passionate about what he does and has a deep and intimate connection to the sacred
mountains and lakes that you visit there. I can only recommend this retreat to
anyone seeking self-discovery, peace, connection with nature, great people, and much
more. You'll enjoy it... just like I did.
