Transform Your Life: 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh & 6-Day Himalayan Yoga Retreat
Introduction: More Than a Journey, A Pilgrimage
Some journeys change the way you see the world. Others change the way you see yourself. This experience does both.
To practice yoga in Rishikesh, where sages have meditated for millennia, is to connect directly with yoga’s roots. And to trek into the Himalayas—walking ancient trails, visiting mystical temples, meditating where gods and rishis once did—is to feel the living presence of India’s spiritual heritage.
Our 20-day, 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course (YTTC) in Rishikesh, followed by a 6-day Himalayan Hiking & Yoga Retreat through Devprayag, Dhari Devi, Tungnath, Deoria Taal, and Kartik Swami, is more than a program. It’s a transformational pilgrimage.
You’ll learn, practice, and embody yoga—not just the postures, but the philosophy, lifestyle, and wisdom. Then you’ll carry that knowledge into the mountains, where yoga meets nature and the divine in breathtaking ways.

Part One: 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh (20 Days)
Why Rishikesh Is the Heart of Yoga
Rishikesh is often called the Yoga Capital of the World, but those who visit quickly realize it’s more than a title. With the Ganga flowing strong, the foothills of the Himalayas rising all around, and the sound of temple bells echoing across the town, Rishikesh has an atmosphere that supports deep inner work.
It’s not unusual to meet people who came here “just for a week” and ended up staying months—or years. The energy of this place draws you inward, toward stillness and self-discovery.
What You’ll Gain From a 200-Hour YTTC
The 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course is the foundation for anyone wishing to teach yoga professionally, but it’s also for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in yoga’s full spectrum.
By the end of the program, you’ll:
• Be qualified to teach yoga worldwide (Yoga Alliance standards).
• Have deep personal practice in Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa.
• Understand yoga philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology.
• Live the yogic lifestyle—balanced, mindful, and connected.

Daily Rhythm: A Glimpse Into Life as a Student
Here’s how a typical day unfolds:
• 05:30 AM – Morning Silence & Meditation
The day begins before sunrise with silence. Meditation and mantra chanting awaken inner stillness.
• 06:30 AM – Pranayama & Shatkarma
Breathing practices energize the body. You’ll also learn cleansing techniques like jala neti (nasal cleansing).
• 07:30 AM – Asana Practice (Hatha Yoga/Ashtanga Vinyasa)
Under guidance, you’ll deepen your asana practice with alignment, strength, and awareness.
• 09:00 AM – Sattvic Breakfast
Nutritious meals that nourish body and mind.
• 10:30 AM – Yoga Philosophy
Dive into the wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and yogic ethics.
• 12:00 PM – Anatomy & Physiology
Learn how the body moves, breathes, and responds to practice.
• 01:00 PM – Lunch & Rest
• 03:00 PM – Teaching Methodology
How to sequence, instruct, adjust, and hold space as a teacher.
• 04:30 PM – Evening Asana Class
A lighter session, focusing on restorative postures or flow.
• 06:00 PM – Dinner
• 07:00 PM – Evening Satsang, Chanting, or Ganga Aarti
Spiritual gatherings, chanting sessions, or witnessing the famous Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan.
• 09:00 PM – Silence Until Morning
This rhythm builds discipline and creates space for transformation.
The Yogic Environment
During training, you’ll live in a simple yet comfortable ashram setting: clean rooms, gardens, and spaces for meditation. Meals are sattvic—plant-based, nourishing, and cooked with love.
Living alongside fellow students, you’ll share not only the physical journey but also the emotional and spiritual one. The sense of community becomes a pillar of strength and friendship.
How You’ll Feel By the End
Most students say they arrive with curiosity and leave with clarity. The training gives you practical skills to teach, yes—but also a deeper understanding of yourself. You’ll likely notice:
• Greater physical vitality.
• A calmer, clearer mind.
• More confidence and purpose.
For many, this becomes the turning point of their life.

Part Two: Himalayan Hiking & Yoga Retreat (6 Days)
After 20 days of immersion in Rishikesh, we take yoga into nature’s grandest temple—the Himalayas. This retreat blends trekking with daily yoga and meditation, creating an experience of both adventure and devotion.
Day 1: Rishikesh to Devprayag – The Birthplace of the Ganga
We journey to Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to form the Ganga. Here, the river is young yet powerful, and the confluence has been revered since ancient times.
Morning meditation on the riverbank feels electrifying—the merging currents mirror the union of body and spirit. Evening yoga stretches ease the body after travel.
Day 2: Dhari Devi Temple – The Guardian Goddess
The next stop is Dhari Devi Temple, standing on a rock in the middle of the Alaknanda River. Legend says she protects the region from disasters. Locals believe that removing her idol once caused the Kedarnath floods—her presence is that powerful.
We practice grounding yoga here, connecting with her protective energy. The river’s roar becomes the background music to our breath.
Day 3: Trek to Tungnath – The Highest Shiva Temple
Today’s trek leads us to Tungnath Temple (3,680m), the highest Shiva temple in the world. The path winds through rhododendron forests and meadows with sweeping Himalayan views.
Practicing sun salutations here, where the air itself feels charged with Shiva’s presence, is unforgettable. As night falls, we rest under starlit skies in nearby lodges.
Day 4: Sunrise at Chandrashila & Descent to Deoria Taal
Before dawn, we hike to Chandrashila Peak (4,000m). The sunrise here paints the Himalayas—Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, Trishul—in pink and gold.
Later, we descend to Deoria Taal, a lake so still it reflects the peaks like a mirror. Evening meditation by the lake feels like stepping out of time.
Day 5: Trek to Kartik Swami Temple – The Ridge of the Gods
On a high ridge overlooking endless valleys lies Kartik Swami Temple, dedicated to Lord Kartikeya, son of Shiva. The temple stands against the open sky, offering 360° Himalayan views.
Here, pranayama with the mountain wind feels liberating. The temple bells echo across the ranges as we practice in silence.
Day 6: Return to Rishikesh – Closing the Circle
The retreat ends with the return journey to Rishikesh. Tired yet radiant, we close with a final circle—sharing reflections, gratitude, and intentions for life ahead.

Ancient Wisdom Meets Himalayan Culture
This journey is more than yoga on the mat. It’s about experiencing Himalayan culture and spirituality firsthand:
• Meeting villagers who live simply yet radiate contentment.
• Hearing legends of gods and sages who walked these very paths.
• Sitting in temples where prayers have echoed for centuries.
The Himalayas aren’t just mountains—they’re alive with spirit. Practicing yoga here is unlike anywhere else in the world.
